No more being the bad guy about screen time. FamilyStick™ is the plug-in retro console that comes with two controllers - because the second one is yours. Simple enough that they set it up themselves, quiet enough that you never have to check it, and fun enough that you'll argue over whose turn it is.

FamilyStick™ Retro Game Console

Two Controllers: One For Them, One For You

You’ve set the timer. You’ve counted down from five. You’ve had the same argument about the tablet three nights this week.

FamilyStick™ changes the shape of it. It plugs into the back of your TV, the menu comes up, and there are two wireless controllers in the box - because these games were built before anyone played alone. They cannot get very far without a second player, and the second player is you.

Your six-year-old can set it up without help. No account, no download, no update, no pairing screen - pick a game and go.

You stop supervising. You start playing. Everyone ends up on the floor.

FamilyStick™ Retro Game Console comparison

FamilyStick™ vs. The Cheap Retro Sticks

You’ve read the reviews on the cheap ones. “Controllers lag so bad you can’t play.” “Didn’t come with the adapter, couldn’t connect the controllers.” “The cord is so short you’d literally have to be against the TV.” “Worked for ten seconds then got extremely hot.”

We ship the HDMI extension cable in the box, so the console reaches your TV instead of hanging off the back of it. Two matched wireless handles and their receiver, so they connect on the first go. And ninety days, money back, no argument - which is longer than most of the sellers behind those reviews have existed.

Here is the honest part. There is no wall plug in the box. The USB cable is there, the adapter is not, and any phone charger will run it. We would rather tell you now than have you open it and go hunting for one.

No lag. No missing cable. No ten-second console.

The Years When They Still Want You To Play

There’s a stretch - somewhere between learning to read and getting their own phone - where a kid still wants you sitting on the floor next to them.

You already know how short it is.

You don’t remember the games you played because of the graphics. You remember them because of who was holding the other controller - a brother, a cousin, the kid from three doors down, a dad who turned out to be much better at it than he ever let on.

That’s what’s actually in the box. Not a games list. An hour where nobody’s on their phone, someone’s shouting about a jump, and your kid finds out you were good at something.

Why Parents Love FamilyStick™ Retro Game Console

🎮
The Second Controller Is Yours

Two wireless handles come in the box, so you're playing instead of watching the clock - no supervising, no refereeing, no sitting it out.

🔌
Set Up By A Six-Year-Old

Into the TV, pick a game, go - no account, no download, no update, no pairing screen.

🔅
Nothing To Connect To

Works with no WiFi at all, so there is nothing to check and nobody to check on - no ads, no strangers, no "can I download this".

🛑
They Stop When The Level Ends

Nothing autoplays and nothing loads the next thing for them, so putting it down stops being a fight - no countdown, no timer, no meltdown.

💳
Nothing To Buy, Ever

No subscription, no season pass, no coins, no surprise charge on your card three weeks later.

📺
Reaches Your Actual TV

The HDMI extension cable is in the box, so the console isn't dangling off the back of the screen - no adapter to order, no sitting on the carpet by the TV.

🧠
Games That Make Them Try Again

Slow, simple levels that reward patience instead of hammering them with rewards - no overstimulation, no wired child at bedtime.

🎁
The Gift You'll Get Caught Playing

Bought for the kids, quietly stolen by the adults - the one present that pulls the whole room in.

Questions Parents Ask Before They Buy

Does it need WiFi or internet?

No. Not to set up, not to play, not ever. It works in a cottage with no signal.

What do I need to plug it in?

An HDMI socket on any TV, and a USB plug for power. The USB cable is in the box, the wall adapter is not - any phone charger runs it.

Will it reach my TV?

Yes. An HDMI extension cable comes in the box, so the console sits beside the TV rather than hanging off the back of it.

Do the controllers need batteries?

Yes, and they are not included. [TO CONFIRM: AA or AAA]

How many people can play?

Two. Two wireless controllers and their receiver come in the box.

What age is it for?

Six and up, with an adult around. Keep the packaging away from under-threes.

Can they save where they got to?

Yes - save at any point and pick it back up next time.

What’s actually on it?

Everything from the early arcade cabinets through the 8-bit and 16-bit living-room era to the early handhelds - around a dozen systems that genuinely run well. A few hundred of the games are ones you’ll know the second the title screen loads, and those are the ones you’re really buying it for. The full library runs to thousands of files and a fair number of those are regional versions of the same game. We’d rather tell you that now than have you find out after you’ve wrapped it.

What if they don’t take to it?

Ninety days. Send it back, we refund it, no argument.
